GROW UP!

A Weekend Course in Pleasure, Connection & Safer Attachment

It Starts with You! - Master Rejection & Healthy Intimacy

- For your Personal and Professional Life

April 4-6, Stockholm

This is for you who is ready to Grow Up Emotionally and feel like the mature adult being you are! For you who are willing to step out of old patterns and learn healthier ways of showing up and standing in love.

Practicing safer attachment does not only affect our romantic relationships but all our connections. This weekend is for all who struggle with healthy relationships, but I especially invite people in a helping profession; coaches, facilitators, therapists, and others; to do the work with themselves to be able to better help others.

Last year, retreats with me were only available through the Inner Leadership Training, but since the next training won’t begin until October, I’ve decided to offer a more accessible and affordable retreat for the community. This is your chance to experience the work hands-on and build real-world connections.

Most of us connect unconsciously with people from a place of unmet childhood needs. We are adults, but we so often react or behave like children, especially in intimate relationships. We feel needy, alone, stuck, overwhelmed, or rejected and tend to deal with it in ways that were appropriate when we were small but do not really make us the person we want to be today.

When we over-couple our sexual and romantic needs with longings to be seen and loved we cross our own boundaries and this affects our intimate lives. An adult doesn’t need to suffer from rejection but can access many ways to feel fulfilled.

As we “grow up” from these patterns instead we can experience that we have more space, can see the bigger picture, and react from a mature place that we feel proud of.
We can then engage in intimacy from safe connection, wholeness, and mutual respect.

As a person in a helping profession, these dynamics do not only show up with partners but also with our patients and clients. It was an immense door of understanding that I need to master my own relationships first to be fully available to support others. - I start off by saying “It starts with you”

WHAT PEOPLE THINK

"Body, mind and spirit they say. Now I get it. NOW I CAN UNDERSTAND MY BODY. Now the mind and spirit tag along. Simple, not painless.”

-DAVID

A Unique Blend of Movement, Joy and Deep Process Work

Li’s spaces offer a unique playground where we see belonging and safety as the starting point for inner growth. With music, drums, movement, and playfulness we create a space where we can return to safety and innocence. We listen to our body as our wisest teacher. “The body keeps the score” as Bessel van der Kolk says, meaning our body remembers what our mind doesn’t.

From this place, we open up to deep in somatic process work where we learn to identify the roots of our triggers, understand rejection and projection and how to move through emotions otherwise difficult to access.

The Toolbox

Li has gathered a unique blend of tools in her 15 years of working with embodiment. As a baseline, she uses Somatic Experiecing, NARM and Family Constellation to build a fundamental understanding of emotional and systemic work. This is combined with Li’s Movement Practice Life is Rhythm which invites dance as a a spiritual path with roots in Animism, Tantric practices and African Spirituality.

What We will Practice:

  • To listen to your body, love it, and embody it as your temple

  • Joy as a resource to hold pain and opening up to trust

  • Learn somatics tools and nervous system regulation according to the Somatic Experiencing and Poly-Vagal Theory

  • Recognize your attachment patterns, how they feel in the body, and how to deal with them

  • Moving out of freeze and stuckness into authenticity

  • Feel more emotionally grown and prepared to explore intimate relationships from that place

  • Use your relationships for mutual growth and have your needs met in a non-codependent way.
