GROW UP

RELATIONAL FLUIDITY

Building Safe, Playful, and Deep Relationships That Stay Meaningful Over Time

A 4-Day GROW UP Retreat with Marcos Bina & Li

-Building safe, playful, and deep relationships that stay meaningful over time

June 26-29, Sweden - Tögel Art Centre

Dear beloveds,

We, Marcos and Li, are so excited to invite you to Relational Fluidity, a 4-day retreat where we explore how to build relationships rooted in unconditional love, RELATIONSHIPS THAT GROW STRONGER THROUGH CHANGE rather than create disturbance or collapse.

Relational fluidity isn’t a new relationship “identity.” It’s about ACCEPTING THE REALITY OF RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Sometimes, we want the same things. Sometimes, we don’t.

  • Many of our connections are shaped by childhood attachment, so how do we honor that, and still create safe, loving containers as adults?

  • We don’t have to take just one role in a relationship. Our nature is fluid. Can all of me, my softness, my wildness, my caring, my independence, be welcomed in my partnerships?

  • What if our relationships fall outside society’s norms (like friends with benefits, poly, queer, undefined)? How do we build inner security when the world questions our path?

  • And what about change itself.. when life moves in unexpected directions? Can we learn to flow with it, rather than fight it?

These are the questions we’ll live into together.

For all of this, we need a FOUNDATION:
A safe base - emotional, relational, spiritual, and in the nervous system. That’s what we are learning to BUILD TOGETHER.
We’ll weave play, embodiment, relational depth, and emotional insight into a powerful and joyful container for growth.

*This retreat is part of Li’s Grow Up body of work on somatics, attachment, and emotional maturity, brought to life in co-creation with Marcos’ grounded presence and years of lived experience in fluid, conscious relationships.

🌀 This retreat is for you if you're ready to:

  • Build relationships based on unconditional love: Understand that drama is not love and that distance does not mean the end.

  • Understand the difference between acting from childhood attachment needs and your inner mature adult: Relate from a more grounded place.

  • Create intimacy that stays true, even when it doesn’t look exactly how you hoped it would.

  • Step out of expecting one person to meet every need: Learn to weave connection and support through many different relationships (this is true whether you’re mono, poly, or something else entirely).

  • Move beyond fear of change: Trust the evolution of your relationships as natural and sometimes necessary.

  • Let go of comparison and competition: Realize that every person has their worth and own sacred place in your heart and life system.

Whether you’re hetero, queer, single, partnered, in a trio, undefined, or simply curious, this space honors your unique relational path, your timing, and your truth.

Step Into Love Instead Of Falling Into It!

And Build Meaningful Relationships That Stand The Challenges Of Time

🌱 Healing the pain of Rigid Relating

Most of us didn’t grow up learning how to navigate emotional maturity in relationships.

Society’s norms around relationships can feel narrow and limiting, but even when we try to break free, we often end up creating new boxes of how things should look.
New frameworks, new rules, same rigidity.

We weren’t shown how to adapt as we evolve or how to stay in love while staying in truth.
So we try to control.
And when that doesn’t work, we freeze, cling, perform, shut down, or walk away.

BUT THERE IS ANOTHER WAY
A way where change doesn’t mean disconnection.
Where needs don’t mean neediness.
Where boundaries are beautiful, and love flows more freely when there’s space to breathe.
Where you can create relationship structures that are true for you and are allowed to change over time.

💫 Why we are the ones holding this retreat on Relational Fluidity

A personal story from us, Marcos & Li

We met in an eco-village in Brazil. There was a spark, maybe a bit stronger on Li’s side 😉 She felt it right away: “I want this person in my life.”

Marcos, on the other hand, thought, “Hmm, what does she want from me? Does she know I’m gay?” But the curiosity was stronger than the thoughts. Two weeks later, we sat in a ceremony together. Not long after that, we rented a room by the beach for Carnival.
And a few months later, Marcos flew to Sweden to spend three months with Li, and we started hosting events together.

That was the beginning of our soul journey.

We both come from a background of bending the “rules” of relationships, where intimacy and connection don’t have to look a certain way.

We experienced emotional, spiritual, and sensual closeness in many forms.

One day, Li asked: “How would you define our relationship?”

Marcos hesitated and said: “I don’t think we have a relationship,” still comparing it to his previous committed, monogamous relationship with a man. Li gently reflected: “But if we look at what is… we spend every day together, we support each other emotionally, we pay for each other, we sleep in the same bed, we share erotic energy… isn’t that a relationship?”

It became obvious: yes, it was. Just not one that didn’t fit into a standard box. So we began calling it what it truly was:
A fluid relationship, one that could take many forms, shift over time, and still be full of love.

We dreamed together. Talked about living in the same country. Even asked: Could we have children?
Ultimately, we landed on the truth:
Our relationship was perfect as it was. Deep. Honest. Free.

Later, Li met her now-partner, Adam.
On the very first weekend he met Marcos, the two of them fell asleep cuddling on the sofa, after a long, openhearted conversation about life.

Even though Li’s current relationship may look “normal” from the outside (heterosexual and monogamous), it’s not. We’re still super queer, and it’s rooted in everything we’ve learned through our shared journey:

That relationships are fluid. That commitment doesn’t mean control. That we can stand strong on our own legs while choosing to walk together. That we don’t have to fit into anyone else’s definition of love, connection, or intimacy.

And maybe most importantly:
We’ve come to understand that each person in our lives has their own sacred place. We are not interchangeable. We are not replaceable.

And the more we truly feel that in our bodies and hearts, the more we can live it in how we love, how we let go, and how we stay connected through it all. We’ve also come to realize:
This way of relating isn’t only for people in open or “non-traditional” relationships.
Even lifelong monogamous partnerships change over time.
Many of them "end" not because the love is gone, but because the relationship no longer fits the old expectations.

With the perspective of relational fluidity, no relationship ever truly needs to end. It just needs the space and permission to evolve.

Marcos and I, walked the talk!

WHAT PEOPLE THINK

🌳 OUR TOOLKIT

Deep, Embodied, Transformational

Throughout the retreat, we’ll weave together practices and tools from:

🌿 Somatic Experiencing: to gently release stored tension and come back home to the body
🌿 NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model): to explore how early attachment patterns still shape your adult relationships and how to shift them
🌿 Family & Systemic Constellation Work: to honor the unique place each person holds in your life and clear unconscious relational entanglements
🌿 Dance & Movement Therapy: to let the body speak what words cannot and to move what’s stuck
🌿 Tantric Principles: to explore presence, polarity, and sacredness of intimacy
🌿 African Spirituality: honoring ancestral wisdom, rhythm, and communal healing through ritual, prayer, and embodiment

Each of these tools offers a different door into healing, insight, and integration so you can relate from a place of wholeness, not wounding.

💫 What we’ll explore:

  • The many layers of intimacy: Emotional, physical, spiritual, intellectual, and sexual

  • How to understand and explore your inner fluidity: relationship roles don’t have to be rigid; you can be in your truth, the strong or the sensitive one, the leading or the following, the masculine or the feminine

  • How to build relationship structures that feel true to who you are in each moment

  • How to identify your needs, and express them with acceptance and without shame

  • How to differentiate between acting from unmet childhood needs and showing up from your sovereign adult self

  • How to grow relationships instead of outgrowing them

  • Dance to live drums with Celso Paco from Mozambique! Because joy, rhythm, play, and togetherness are essential for deep healing

  • Why community is vital to a healthy nervous system and long-term emotional resilience

Dance, play, and connection will always be our foundation.
Because healing doesn’t have to be heavy.
It can be joyful, honest, wild, awkward, sacred, and alive.

🌊 This is not just a retreat.

It’s a call to grow up.
To meet yourself and others in truth.
To allow change and still stay connected.
To stop pretending you’re too much or not enough.
To let love evolve without losing yourself.

We would be so honored to walk this path with you.

With love,
Marcos & Li
