Kitchen Party with Dance into Your Lust for Womxn

All womxn welcome - young, old, trans, cis, straight, gay!

In many African tribes across the continent, especially in Eastern and Southern Africa, around the age of 15, there is a rite of passage held where girls step into womanhood. Later when they are about to get married to go through a secret love-making ritual in Tanzania commonly called Kitchen Party and in Mozambique Kolaya.

The women are here taught traditional dances where they learn how to appreciate their own bodies, move their waist in a pleasurable way, and even how to make love. This knowledge has been passed on through generations and gives girls and women an opportunity to be confident and know what they want and do not want when it comes to sexuality.

This evening is hosted by Li together with Julieth Chuwa from Tanzania.
