The Grow Up Experience
Recognize the part that believes it isn’t good enough, and discover how to return to your adult consciousness.
Sound familiar?
You are not the one who isn’t good enough.
I meet so many people in personal development who genuinely want to grow, yet quietly carry the weight of feeling like they’re still not enough.
Growth is a lifelong journey, and that’s a beautiful thing. The journey isn’t the problem. The problem is believing you have to fix yourself to be worthy of it.
“I should be further by now.”
Even after years of inner work, that quiet voice still whispers.
“Why can’t I just let this pattern go?”
You understand it. It still runs the show when things get close.
“I thought I had already healed this…”
And then a relationship gets difficult, and an old part takes the wheel.
Emotional maturity
It was never about becoming “good enough.”
Trying so hard to finally feel “good enough”? Whether you’re striving to be a better partner, parent, or professional, there’s a common misconception about inner growth.
The part of you working so hard to earn that feeling is actually an old survival strategy from your past. Healing isn’t about erasing this part of you. It’s about learning to be with it, without letting it take the wheel.
It has to be the grown-up who does the work.
Otherwise, the cycle never really ends.

What this looks like in a real moment
I reconnect with myself.
When I fall into an old pattern, my immediate reaction is to think I’ve failed. After all the work I’ve done, the familiar shame creeps back: I shouldn’t be acting this way.
If I let those thoughts take over, they sound something like this:
“I’ll never get there.”
“I’m a fraud.”
“I need more therapy.”
But right there, in that exact moment, a choice appears. Do I become this part of me? Or do I remember that I am the one observing it?
So I pause. I take a breath and reconnect. And another voice, quieter, kinder, whispers:
“You’re overwhelmed right now, and that’s okay. Those thoughts aren’t true. Let’s take care of ourselves and see what we need to come back home.”
Instead of judging myself, I offer myself kindness and take care of my needs. Within minutes, the pattern breaks, and I feel grounded again.
As I lean on my tools, the noise fades and clarity returns. I step back into my grounded adult self. I recognize my fatigue and sensitivity for what they are. Now I can truly hear what my partner meant, and see that an old, familiar wound was simply triggered.
Reading this, the process might sound familiar. But understanding it intellectually is one thing; applying it in real time when shit hits the fan is another.
That is because true shift is somatic, not just mental. These hurt parts of us don’t just disappear. But over time, we start operating more from our adult self. Life becomes so much simpler when we aren’t being run by the “I’m not good enough” inner child.

Why this matters
The 3-Day Experience
This is a process that needs to be experienced rather than understood. I’ve created a process that simplifies the steps to take when we’re triggered, and I’ll guide you through it over our three live sessions.
You will not heal all your traumas in three days, nor will you suddenly stop getting triggered. But you will get an experience of what it feels like to create this inner shift.
Over the years I’ve come to feel that this is one of the most important shifts we can make. I say this because I meet clients every week who are still doing their inner work from their inner child, and it’s exhausting.
Many of you have joined the Grow Up Challenge before. This time we’re taking the work in a new direction by exploring one specific realization that has become central to my own work:
“The voice that has been trying to improve me for years is not me.”
